Aaj Tak : Aaj Tak & RCOM Offer Video News Via MMS; The Push For GPRS
Reliance Communications (RCOM) has inked a content partnership with broadcaster Aaj Tak (by the India Today group) to deliver video news updates to mobile subscribers. The MMS clips will be sent twice a day to the mobile and can be accessed by both its CDMA and GSM users, according to WebNewsWire. The alerts will be provided twice a day on a Rs30 per month subscription.
Reliance Mobile is a wholly owned subsidiary of Anil Dhirubhai Ambani group (ADAG)
The news service can be availed by both pre- and post-paid customers on Reliance's CDMA and GSM networks.
Earlier this year Reliance had rolled out its CDMA wireless broadband service, Reliance Netconnect Broadband Plus, making it what it claimed the fastest internet service on mobiles.
